Asciak Tennis Academy
When talking about academies in Malta, we can’t not mention the Asciak Tennis Academy. The Asciak Tennis Academy is situated at the Marsa Sports Club. It was founded by Gordon Asciak, Malta’s former number 1 player for 13 years, together with his wife, Helen Asciak. Helen also spent 9 years as Malta’s number 1 female player. The academy is by far the biggest and most successful on the island. Players like Francesca Curmi, Elaine Genovese, Helene Pellicano and Matthew Asciak have found great fame through Asciak Tennis Academy.
IK Tennis Academy
Founded by Ivana Kubickova, IK Tennis Academy is perhaps the second biggest academy on the island. Ivana is a former WTA tennis player from Brno, Czech Republic.
This tennis academy in Malta, similar to the previous one, has been at the forefront of producing great talent. Some of these talents include Strahinja Djukic, and the upcoming tennis sensations Cosmo de Trafford and Sophia Arpa. The success of this tennis academy came in the late 2010s and it’s been growing ever since.
If you’re looking to gain some serious skills in tennis, this is a great place to look at.
Esther’s Tennis School
Founded by ex-national tennis player Esther Muscat, this school is relatively young. Esther works tirelessly with several other tennis coaches to provide a high level of coaching here, This academy offers tennis coaching and physical training to both children and adults. Esther’s tennis academy is based at Tennis Club Kordin, one of the top clubs around the island. And hey, the club is also family and pet-friendly!

VLTC is another great option for amateur tennis players. This is the perfect place for you if you want to take up tennis and start learning tennis at your own pace. At VLTC, you can find plenty of individual coaches to start you off. However, do note that the club has no academies yet. Still, you can find some great tennis coaches to help you on your journey.

For those who are seeking further options around central Malta, the Żebbuġ Tennis Club is home to several coaches. The club offers tennis coaching, that is given by highly qualified instructors. As a matter of fact, they cater for both children and adults of all ages and capabilities.
This club is perfect for those tennis players seeking a more centralised location. The 4 courts of this tennis club are situated at St Dorothy’s School.
Swieqi Tennis Club
The Swieqi Tennis Club is a rather small club which is home to one court. To book this bright orange-blue court, you can reserve your place online. You can also contact the club and start coaching with one of their coaches. Albeit being a small club, the Swieqi Tennis Club still offers group sessions and private coaching lessons and you can apply online here.
